Karnataka Skill Development Authority would monitor and regulate Skilling in Karnataka. It would also:

1. Laydown norms and standards for curriculum, courses, content and credits for skills training

2. Approve guidelines for recognition and assessment of Training & certification agencies and Trainees

3. Guidelines for training of trainers

4. Periodic studies of skill gaps, research and innovation in skills and forecasting

5. Recommend appropriate skills in schools, colleges and technical institutions and universities

6. Develop state skill policy

7. Facilitate setting up of a skill university

8. Facilitate RPL

9. Coordinate with industry, academia, SSC’s and all other stakeholders

10. Collaborate with national and global agencies for quality initiatives
