WORLD SKILLS INDIA 2023-24:

World Skills India is an initiative of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) under the aegis of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India. NSDC, through its World Skills India initiative, has been leading the country’s participation at World Skills International competitions since 2011.

Karnataka Skill Development Corporation (KSDC) under the Department of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood (SDEL), is all set to host the most prestigious “India Skills Karnataka – 2023”.

Aim is to intensively train the winners of India Skills Karnataka 2023 to win in the Pre-Nationals and National India Skills Competition and represent India in the “World Skills Competition – 2024” held at Lyon, France in 2024.

On the occasion of World Youth Skills Day, 15th July 2022, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka has launched India Skills- Karnataka competition. The Competition will contain 57 skills and registration is closed on 15th January 2024.

SKILLS YOU CAN COMPETE: 

LEVELS OF COMPETITION:

Pre-screening: Last date to take the Mock Test Organised by NSDC is 07.02.2024

Zonal Level Competition Organised by KSDC:

  1. Top 20 in each skill will be eligible to Compete in the Zonal Level
  2. Top 10 in each skill will be selected from Zonal to State Level Competition
  3. No training will be involved in Zonal Level
  4. The test will be conducted in Training Centre located within Karnataka

Boot Camp Training / Orientation Training:

  1. Candidates selected from Zonal to State Level will be given an orientation training of 1-3 days.

State Level Competition Organised by KSDC:

  1. Top 10 in each skill will be eligible to Compete in the State Level
  2. Top 2 in each skill will be selected from State Level Competition
  3. The test will be conducted in Training Centre located within Karnataka
  4. Training will be provided for Top 2 candidates till the Pre-national Competition

Pre-National Competition Organised by NSDC:

  1. Selection of Candidates from the List received from all the States.
  2. The test will be conducted by NSDC

National Level Competition Organised by NSDC:

  1. Competition will be held to Candidates short listed from Pre-National Round
  2. Result Announcements of Top 3 Winners
  3. Training for Winners of National Level till the World Skill Competition.

Kindly note that all the cost for training the candidates will be borne by Karnataka Skill Development Corporation. No fees will be collected by candidates at any phase & it is completely free & borne by KSDC.
